ATI's FANUC-Ready Force/Torque Sensing Kits

ATI Force/Torque Sensor Kits Now Available for FANUC Force Control

ATI’s renowned Force/Torque Sensors can now be used with FANUC Robots to add a sense of touch to robotic applications. With this compatibility, industrial manufacturers and automation professionals can now benefit from seamless integration between these powerful technologies.

  • ATI Sensors can now be used in conjunction with FANUC’s proprietary Force Control software.
  • FANUC-Ready sensor kits are available for pairing the right sensor with your robot.
  • Incorporate highly accurate, high resolution force sensing into FANUC applications utilizing FANUC’s built-in force control tools.

How to Buy:


1. Contact your FANUC Sales Representative to ensure that the correct hardware and software options for using a Third Party Force Sensor are included with your robot.


Hardware Requirements (MUST HAVE):

  • RS232C/RS422 Converter Unit
    • A05B-2650-J080 (for R-30iB Mate Plus)
    • A05B-2601-J358 (for R-30iB Plus A cabinet)
    • A05B-2696-J010 (for R-30iB Mini Plus)

Software Requirements (MUST HAVE - all controllers):

  • Controller Software Version 7DF3/P12 or later
  • General Force Sensor Interface (A05B-2600-S506)
  • Force Control Basic (A05B-2600-J876)

Depending on the force control functions that will be used, "Force Control Fitting Function" or "Force Control Contouring Function" will also be required (part numbers below).


Software Options:

  • Force Control Fitting (A05B-2600-J877)
  • Force Control Contouring (A05B-2600-J835)

2. Contact your ATI Account Manager with the robot model that you’d like outfitted with a Force/Torque sensor, and they can help determine the appropriate part number. 

  

ATI has created a list of FANUC-Ready sensor kits that pair specific sensor models to specific robots.  Each of these kits includes a Force/Torque sensor, an interface plate to mount the sensor to your robot, the required cables to connect to your controller, and a power supply.
