ATI Introduces New IP68 (10m) Underwater Force/Torque Sensors

Final Testing Completed at US Naval Center

Apex, NC,  março 31, 2005

ATI announces the upcoming release of the IP68 (10m) underwater DAQ sensor. Final testing was recently completed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division in West Bethesda, MD.

ATI’s sensors with an IP68 (10m) rating can be used to a depth of 10 meters for underwater testing, weightlessness simulations, and other underwater applications. Recurring customer interest in this capability ultimately led ATI to develop these new sensor models.

The NAVSEA, the Navy’s experts for maritime technology, generously allowed ATI to use their facility to test the force/torque transducer in 10 meters of fresh water. After two full days of testing and inspection, no leaks were detected in the sensor. The testing at depth validated ATI’s earlier test results achieved in-house.
