Electronics Technician
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Implement ECOs for electronic assemblies and PCBs
  • Check the electrical portion of electromechanical drawings.
  • Prepare PCB documentation packages for release
  • Assist engineers with Orcad schematics entry and component selection
  • Address manufacturing questions and requests (component replacements, documentation issues, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems involving product performance
  • Work with component suppliers, manufacturers, outside labs and other; service providers as needed to assure the most cost effective, robust designs are implemented.
  • Support and troubleshoot current electronic designs.
  • Develop improvements in current electronics.
  • Write manufacturing and inspection instructions, specification sheets and technical reports for new and existing products.
  • Design basic circuitry under engineering direction
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills Requirements
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Should have demonstrated proficiency in schematic entry using Orcad Capture or a similar tool
  • Should be familiar with analog components and circuits, required for the precision measurement of low voltages ,embedded systems hardware, embedded firmware using assembler and C/C++, linear regulators and DC/DC power converters, & serial bus networks (CAN, RS485, Ethernet)
  • Experience with PCB layout design

F/T Robotic Applications Engineer
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • The Robotic Application Engineer (RAE) is responsible for the integration of ATI Force/Torque Sensor (F/T) products in robotic applications and across all major robot manufacturers. They are expected to become the industry expert on the use and integration of ATI F/T sensors in conjunction with existing industrial robots. The RAE will develop documentation, training videos, sample applications and develop software to ease the implementation of ATI F/T Sensors. The RAE will also be responsible for traveling to customer sites to assist in integration and troubleshooting of ATI F/T Sensors.
  • Design experiments and program robots to aid in demonstrating and testing of F/T Sensors.
  • Develop manufacturer specific software and programs (variety of text based programming languages)
  • Develop estimating and reporting processes for in-house testing of customer applications.
  • Write installation manuals and training presentations.
  • Administer F/T integration training to ATI employees and customers.
  • Identify product improvements, new product ideas and report these to engineering
  • Assist in development of marketing material and trade show demonstrations.
  • Work with Marketing to develop product, setup and integration videos.
  • Validate product changes by examining engineering changes and new product releases.
  • Take direction and perform job duties as requested by Product Manager.
  • Continue to learn new skills and techniques through in-house training, outside training/coursework, seminars, trade shows, and the internet.
  • Travel for training and customer visits up to 30% domestic and international.

    Skills Requirements
  • Ability to analyze technical problems/issues and effectively articulate verbal and written recommendations and solutions.
  • Ability to learn and implement a variety of programming languages (basic to intermediate level) needed to work with robot manufacturer’s software (i.e. Structured Text, C++, java, python).
  • Ability to present technical information to various audiences, often in a group setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Electro-mechanical Systems including statics, analog-to-digital conversion and communication protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and personal time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with 6-axis robot programming and robotic applications is required

Mechanical Engineer
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Design and modify robotic end effectors and tools.
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems involving product performance.
  • Test prototypes and released products to verify design to customer specifications and write reports to document the testing.
  • Support existing products through an ongoing process of continuous improvements and engineering changes to enhance performance and manufacturability.
  • Determine and establish specifications and standards and write manuals, manufacturing and inspection instructions, specification sheets and technical reports for new and existing products.
  • As a Project Leader you will coordinate all phases of development including creation, prototypes, testing and analysis.
  • Perform a variety of engineering tasks in the planning and design of electro-mechanical products, electrical enclosures and cable assemblies. Determine and establish specifications through engineering calculations and layouts. Use appropriate engineering tools such as, CAD, FMEA, DFA, in the successful completion of design projects.
  • Communication and project management skills to meet project goals.
  • Work with suppliers to assure the most cost effective, robust designs are implemented.
  • Provide support to customers including travel to customer’s facilities if required.

    Skills Requirements
  • Innovative mechanical design skills (design understanding of pneumatic devices, fasteners, seals, material selection, bearings, lock mechanisms, etc.).
  • Demonstrated SolidWorks solid modeling and detail/assembly drawing proficiency.
  • Solid history designing mechanical components for automation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASME Y14.5 – 2009 Standards.
  • Ability to generate mechanical fabrication drawings including orthographic projections.
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Visio).

    Education Requirements
  • A BS degree in mechanical engineering plus 1-3 years work experience in a related field is required. Direct experience integrating designs into industrial robotics applications is a plus.

Production Control Supervisor
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Reporting directly to the COO, the Production Control Supervisor directs and oversees all production scheduling activities as it relates to delivering, quality products to ATI’s customers.
  • Maintains production work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Accomplishes team expectations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of production planning and supply chain management in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business field.

Robotic Test Engineer - Material Removal Group
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and external customers.
  • Design experiments and program robots to aid in demonstrating and testing MR products.
  • Design test fixtures and equipment using SolidWorks.
  • Write reports and create presentations of findings for communication to customers.
  • Identify improvements and new product ideas and report these to engineering and manufacturing.
  • Provide robotic programming and operation for videos and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate with engineering as needed for additional technical support.
  • Stay on top of all product changes by examining engineering changes and new product releases.
  • Take direction and perform job duties as requested by Product Manager.

Sales Account Manager
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Acts as an independent, individual contributor to facilitate the discovery, diagnosis, and design, and deliveries of high-value customer products and services
  • Operates as program leader for all new and assigned accounts
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens sustainable customer relationships
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Acts as customer’s representative to internally communicate the needs and expectations of the customer
  • Communicates frequently and clearly the progress of client engagements and program initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecasts sales for existing and new accounts, including tracking defined key account metrics
  • Identifies and grows opportunities within sales territory and collaborate within the sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  • Manages all account communications and interactions using internal CRM database, verifies quotations and sales order accuracy
  • Assists with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed

Sales Administrator
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • The Inside Sales Specialist regularly interacts with our customers to efficiently execute the sales order entry and order fulfillment processes at ATI. The specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely creation and submission of customer quotations, sales orders and order acknowledgements while communicating with the customer base, account management team and internal production and shipping departments.
  • Receives internal and external requests and creates quotations for new and existing customers
  • Receives requests and creates sales orders for new and existing customers
  • Maintains a high level of order entry accuracy
  • Manages all customer and order entry transactions and communications via the ATI database
  • Records required sales order information through effective collaboration with our customers and internal personnel
  • Manages domestic and international shipping documentation to ensure compliance with customer, national, and international shipping regulations
  • Reviews and verify customer terms and conditions
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Sends product literature and information to customers as required
  • Maintains customer portals as required for order receipt and acknowledgment
  • Supports Account Specialists, Account Managers, and Applications Engineers as needed
  • Monitors and responds to various database discrepancy reports in a timely manner.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills via email, telephone and in person
  • Ability to learn quickly with high attention to detail

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service or sales administration position where order entry and order fulfillment were major responsibilities, preferably in a B2B sales environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience (defined above) is required if without a college degree

Systems & Security Administrator
Location:  Apex, NC

     Job Description
  • Identify and define system security requirements by leveraging various cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
  • Document security and data privacy practices, and respond to questionnaires in these areas.
  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
  • Investigate and report security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
  • Develop and carry out information security plans and policies.
  • Develop technical solutions and configure security tools to help identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Design and maintain annual information security awareness training presentation containing information security standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking problems. Communicate with stakeholders across the organization concerning IT projects. Collect requirements and feedback to facilitate project success.
  • Document maintenance processes, bugs encountered, workarounds, and other knowledge acquired.
  • Perform Domain Administrator functions such as user account creation/maintenance and email systems administration.
  • Stay up to date on information technology and security trends that are relevant to ATI’s computing environment. Aid in developing best practices, tips, and workarounds to enable ATI to use these technologies securely and productively.
  • Setup and maintain PCs for employees. Help new users get oriented with ATI systems as required.
  • Manage ATI’s IT hardware resources, including spare laptops, cables and peripherals.
  • Work with software vendors, IT consultants, and other resources to assure the most cost effective, maintainable, robust solutions are implemented.
  • Provide support and assistance to coworkers as appropriate to enhance the performance and success of the Information Systems department and the company as a whole.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences

  • Solid experience in administration and configuration of Windows client and server systems, with familiarity in the security maintenance and hardening of these platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy compliance standards and frameworks including NIST 800-171 and GDPR
  • Solid networking knowledge, system security knowledge, and advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Project ownership, including researching new solutions and adapting to changes in technology trends
