CNC-Hiac
CNC high-speed edge deburring
tool with integrated Axial Compliance
The CNC-Hiac Speedeburr tool consists of an air driven
vane motor and a rotary file. The file is free to move 8 mm in axial
direction, with integrated and adjustable air pressure control of
the contact force.
The CNC-Hiac Speedeburr
tool is suited for light and medium effort deburring of burrs produced by
machining operations on objects made of aluminum, steel and other materials
and also burrs produced on die-cast objects, fiber-reinforced plastics,
etc. In practical application
there might be a deviation between the burr edge and the programmed path.
This is due to object tolerances and fixture tolerances. The CNC-Hiac is
designed to take care of just that inaccuracy, so that the final deburring
result will not be influenced.
The CNC-Hiac uses a conical
shaped rotary file with axial flexibility. This arrangement will admit deviations
along the burr edge, both axial and sideways.
Compared to common cylindrical shaped deburring
tools, the CNC-Hiac will greatly reduce the CNC machine programming time,
reduce the cycle time, and reduce tool wear.
The CNC-Hiac tool is air
driven to take advantage of the low weight and small size of the air vane
motor compared to its power output. The patented force control principle gives a very high stiffness
in the path direction, while offering full flexibility in the axial direction.
In combination with an extremely small axial moveable mass of the suspended
system, this avoids chattering and vibration i.e. ensures contact force stability,
and permits a high path speed. Few parts means a sturdy design and long lifetime.
