The United States Patent and Trademark Office has awarded ATI patent # 6,974,286 for the Flexdeburr Robotic Deburring Tool. Since its release, the Radially-Complaint Deburring Tool has been recognized as a leader in the industry. Charlie Young, Systems Design Engineer with Hammond Roto-Finish explains that “The flexibility and consistency of the Flexdeburr Radially-Compliant Deburring Tool will allow us to design more efficient cells with a smaller footprint. Also, the system’s robot is quicker and easier to train (program) with a more forgiving finishing tool.” ATI has additional patents pending on the Flexdeburr.
