INTRODUCING FORCE/TORQUE SENSOR NEWS FROM ATI
ATI Industrial Automation’s Multi-Axis Force/Torque (F/T) Sensors enable high-precision force control in a variety of applications. Using silicon strain gauges, the F/T sensor converts mechanical loads from all six axes simultaneously into force and torque values. Force/Torque sensors from ATI are used in industrial applications such as robotic assembly, grinding, and polishing and in research environments such as haptics, neurology, and robotic surgery. The stories you are about to read illustrate a wide array of customers and cases that benefit from force sensing. For more information visit our F/T Products home page.

ATI’S F/T SENSORS GIVE KINDHEART SURGICAL SIMULATORS "ALL THE FEELS"
Surgeons and surgical teams are known for their ability to perform with accuracy under immense pressure. Timing and efficiency are critical to the success of many procedures, but practicing first is not always an option. With KindHeart surgical simulators, surgical teams can learn to perform at even higher levels, while gaining insight into what a patient experiences during the process. With the help of ATI’s Force/Torque (F/T) sensors, KindHeart’s surgical simulation devices are able to capture feedback from forces exerted on a patient during surgery.
