ATI Industrial Automation has been ranked in the Triangle Business Journal's 50 fastest growing companies in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina, for the 9th time. The winners were selected and ranked based on revenue growth and profitability in the preceding three years (2012-14).

ATI's CEO, Robert Little, attributes the growth to the company's ability to diversify the industries it does business with. NASA was a top ten customer for ATI in 2015, already having developed a sensor that fits in an astronaut's shoe to monitor the load they are working with when they exercise in space. The highly anticipated 2020 Mars Rover missions could take similar sensors to the red planet.

Robert states, "ATI is branching out, working more with aerospace companies, helping manufacturers automate the process of creating airplanes".
