ATI Industrial Automation has been ranked in the Triangle Business Journal's 50 fastest growing companies in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina, for the 8th time. The winners were selected and ranked based on revenue growth and profitability in the preceding three years (2011-13).
ATI's CEO, Robert Little, attributes the growth to increased demand for automation in the United States and China, particularly increased sales in automotive, electronics, and aerospace industries. Robert states "There are very few planes or cars that you can point out that haven't used our robotics technology to build that product."
Robert Little also stated that ATI has grown in a way that they "are prepared for future customers." ATI will complete a new building expansion at their headquarters in Apex, NC this year that will increase their capacity by 20%. Future expansion planned for 2017 will double ATI's manufacturing and inventory capacity.
