ATI Develops New Model Robotic Tool Changer

QC-160 Tool Changer Exceeds 200 kg Robot Load Specification

The QC-160 Robotic Tool Changer is a new model that has a high moment capacity in a lightweight and compact package. The QC-160 utilizes the same proven Locking Mechanism as the QC-200 Series Tool Changers – exceeding 200 kg robot load specifications. The new Tool Changer also features internal Lock/Unlock sensing and (5) 3/8 NPT and (4) 1/2 NPT pass-through air connections.

 

ATI Robotic Tool Changers provide the flexibility to automatically change end-effectors or other peripheral tooling. These Tool Changers are designed to function reliably for millions of cycles at rated load while maintaining extremely high repeatability. For this reason, the ATI Tool Changer has become the number-one Tool Changer of choice around the world. All ATI Tool Changers feature the patented Fail-Safe Locking Mechanism and No-Touch Locking™ technology.

 

ATI offers a wide selection of Tool Changer models to cover a variety of applications. Key features include: Excellent repeatability, high rigidity, and a lightweight and compact design. With 25 years of robotic end-effector innovation, ATI’s engineering department, the largest of its kind for a robotic tooling company, is focused on developing cost-effective, state-of-the-art products and solutions.

 

Product features include:

  • All locking parts made of 58HRC stainless steel. 
  • Long-life bushing for pneumatic pass-through.
  • Mounts Directly to Most 200 kg Robots: Supports 125mm ISO mounting pattern.
  • Up to four ATI Standard Series Utility Modules can be mounted without adapters. Flats A and B have center/dual module mounting.
  • Integrated Lock/Unlock sensing indicates Lock/Unlock position for safe Coupling/Uncoupling.
  • Optional Ready-to-Lock (RTL) sensing available. Detect when the Tool Plate is within 0.06 inches (1.5 mm) of the Master plate.
