ATI Industrial Automation’s Robotic Tool Changers, manufactured at their state-of-the-art production facility located in Apex, NC, are one of the visible components being used in the arms of the robot fighters on Robot Combat League. Traditionally used in industrial manufacturing, ATI’s Tool Changers provide flexibility to automation applications by enabling robots to automatically change end-effectors. Setrakian’s resume includes developing life-saving robotic systems, and creature effects and animatronics for films like Men In Black, The Grinch, and Hellboy. There is no doubt robotic technology has come a long way; we now have robots that fight fires, search dangerous buildings, assist in performing surgery, and even robots that you can control with your mind. All of which represent a huge advancement in what was only thought to be possible a few years ago.
