ATI's 7th Annual Technology Training Fair
Learn more about ATI's New Products and Applications on August 22nd in Orion Township, MI
ATI Industrial Automation has announced that it will hold its 7th Annual Technology Training Fair at its Michigan office on Thursday, August 22nd. Learn about all of the latest robotic end-effector products that have been developed by ATI over the last year. Other topics will include existing, cost-effective, state-of-the-art ATI products and solutions that can increase the productivity of your robots and surpass your automation needs. ATI's Account Managers and Engineers will be on-hand to discuss your application and end-effector requirements. Several live demonstrations of ATI's Robotic Tool Changers, Multi-Axis Force Torque Sensors, Utility Couplers, Robotic Collision Sensors, and Robotic Deburring Tools will run throughout the day. Food and refreshments will be available and lunch will be provided.
The hours for the event are 8:00am until 3:00pm, topics include:
- Advanced Gripper and End Effector Designs 8:30am - 9:30am - New vacuum based strategies in sensing, energy management and compliance with various kinds of materials will be presented. New mechanical gripper, robotic tool changer, force/torque sensor, and robotic deburring tool designs will be presented with their flexibility, precision, and compliance features. The strength and practical switching usage of magnetic grippers will also be presented. Presentation by Adil Shafi from Advenovation / RIA.
- Alternative Joining 9:45am - 10:45am – A look at the latest alternative joining methods for metal including: aluminum welding, self-piercing rivets, flow drill screws, and more. A look at ATI Tool Changer products that support these joining methods. Presentations by Fronius and Weber.
- New Product Developments 11:00am - 12:00pm – An overview of the latest ATI products including new Tool Changers, Utility Couplers, Tool Changer Modules and Tool Changer Vision Modules. Real-world application of vision products. Presentation by Recognition Robotics.
- RIA Safety in Robotics 1:00pm - 2:00pm – A thorough introduction to essential information contained in the ANSI/RIA R15.06 Robot Safety Standard. Learn the basic safety guidelines for robotic applications, identify key elements of the robot safety standard and determine how to apply provisions of the standard in daily operations including collaborative robot safety. Presentation by Pat Davison from RIA.
Some of the presentation information will ONLY be available at the event and not on presentation CD's, so be sure you plan to attend!

AMT/Adaptive Tour During the event and only a few blocks away at 219 Kay Industrial Drive, live robotic demonstrations featuring ATI products can be viewed at AMT and Adaptive Systems. AMT is North America’s largest automation engineering company for supporting robot companies, systems integrators, line builders, and users of robotic automation worldwide. Located within the same facility as AMT, Adaptive Systems is a Turnkey Systems Integrator that specializes in the design and build of custom automation, commonly involving technically-challenging robotic applications with 2D and/or 3D vision. Transportation will be provided between locations. Attendees are also welcome to visit AMT/Adaptive Systems on their own. For more information on AMT, visit their website at www.appliedmfg.com.
Don't miss this opportunity! Last year's event was a huge success, with a large turnout of guests representing a wide variety of industries and markets. The training sessions on ATI's new product developments and their applications were very well received.
The address for ATI's MI office is:
ATI Michigan Sales Office 4577 South Lapeer Rd, Suite I Orion Township, MI 48359 USA (248) 276-0502
