Production Planner
Location: Apex, NC     

Job Description
  • This position is primarily responsible for developing daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. They determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
  • Review sales demands and the planned work orders generated by MRP.
  • Release work orders to the shop floor to support the demand with consideration to capacity. Work closely with shop floor supervisors to schedule orders.
  • Work with Sales Administration staff to acknowledge attainable deliveries to customers.
  • Work closely with Sales Administration to provide lead times for customer quotations on ATI products.
  • Collaborate with Demand Analysts to develop recovery plans for any part shortages and work closely with the other teams to ensure delivery to customer expectations.
  • Interface closely with the Demand Analysts on new and upcoming product demands or revisions of existing designs.
  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with internal/external suppliers and customers
  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs work flows and procedures.

    Skills Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint), ERP software, internal intranet, and related office hardware.

    Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • APICS certification a plus
  • 3+ year of experience in a production environment using an ERP system.
  • Must be comfortable working in a collaborative purchasing/planning team.
