F/T Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Apex, NC
Job Description

In our continued quest for excellence in our products and service, we are seeking an experienced, hardworking, team-oriented F/T Manufacturing Engineer. The F/T Manufacturing Engineer supports continuous improvement, new product introduction and equipment development for all aspects of the F/T Sensor production process. The ATI F/T Sensors is equal parts mechanical, electrical and software so it is important that this role has a diverse experience is these areas.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct studies and analysis to establish optimum production and quality standards for varied manufacturing operations.
- Development & continuous improvement of manufacturing, test, and calibration equipment and processes.
- Assemble equipment or components.
- Create/Document equipment drawings and schematics
- Calibrate & maintain electrical and technical equipment.
- Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
- Investigate and recommend approaches for manufacturing methods, processes and equipment. Implement study findings
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Conduct Process Failure Mode Analysis for new product introductions.
- Coordinate resolution of Corrective Action Requests for the manufacturing area.
- Write and maintain Assembly Work Instructions.
- Develop and install lean manufacturing and cost reduction plans.
- Recommend capital purchases.
- Other duties as required.
Skills Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong electro-mechanical system understanding
- 2D and 3D CAD experience, Solidworks is preferred.
- Technical writing experience and proficient in MS Office Products
- Experience with a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Quality methods and controls experience
- Lean Manufacturing /5S /Six Sigma/SCRUM experience/training a plus
- Experience constructing/maintaining electrical hardware and systems
- Good communication with diverse audience from manufacturing floor to executive level.
Education Requirements
- Minimum Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Engineering/Applied Engineering (Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Automation or Robotics) with 5+ years applicable work experience, minimum
- BS in Engineering/Technology (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical) preferred.
