Product Advantages

The UCx utility module is used in robotic applications where air is used to blow dust and debris off of the Tool-side Tool Changer components prior to coupling. By incorporating such a tool Blow Off system, the same Master-side Tool Changer can be used to blow off the debris of multiple tools. This arrangement may be more desirable than incorporating a debris shield for each tool.

UC2
- The UC2 module incorporates an integrated valve assembly. When used with the DH9 control module, the UC2 can be independently activated and controlled to meet specific air Blow Off requirements.
- The UC2 is configured to be mounted on the Tool Changer’s Flat “B”. If other mounting locations are required, additional control cabling arrangements are necessary.
UC3
- The UC3 module utilizes an AC-powered, single solenoid valve. A separate 3-Pin micro connector is provided for customer interface and control of the solenoid valve. The UC3 can be independently activated and controlled to meet specific air Blow Off requirements.
- The UC3 is configured from the factory to be mounted on the Tool Changer’s “B” flat. If other mounting locations are required adjustment of the manifold cylinder and/or Blow Off nozzles may be required. The UC3 design provides flexibility in being able to adjust the air Blow Off stream to various directions and orientations. Additional Blow Off nozzles can be added to the cylinder and are available from the factory as needed.
UC4
- The UC4 module incorporates an integrated valve assembly. When used with the VA5 control module, the UC4 can be independently activated and controlled to meet specific air-blow off requirements.
- The UC4 is configured to be mounted on the Tool Changer’s Flat “D”. If other mounting locations are required, additional control cabling arrangements are necessary.
