Product Advantages
  • The stand-alone dust cover is provided to protect the mating face of the Tool Changer Tool side when not in use.
  • It is designed to cover not only the locking components of the Tool Changer, but also the mating faces of the optional modules.
  • It interfaces with the existing locking components of the Tool Changer.
  • The robot or Master side of the Tool Changer can couple with the anodized aluminum bearing race to remove the cover. The cover can then be placed on the unused tool. The PVC male coupling and spring-loaded plungers interface with the bearing race on the Tool side of the tool changer.
  • The dust cover does not incorporate any additional control signals. It does not provide a target for the Ready sensor on the tool changer master. The standard Tool Changer Lock and Unlock sensor input signals can be used for confirmation of coupling and uncoupling with the stand-alone dust cover.
  • A stand-alone aluminum bearing race can be utilized by the customer as a temporary storage for the dust cover. The customer could integrate a sensor of other means to confirm that the dust cover is located in this temporary storage location.
  • Note: The aluminum bearing race is non-load-bearing and should not be used in concert with the Tool Changer Master to lift or transport the tooling.
